Start a Blog
Start a blog about something that you enjoy doing or something you are PASSIONATE about. There is NO limit to the niches you can start blogging about. Whether it’s cooking, traveling, fashion, beauty, gaming, music, celebrity gossip, hair, decor, home building, finance, education, college, dancing… – I can go ON AND ON! – there is definitely a spot in the blogging world you! Squarespace, WordPress, and Wix are a few of the platforms you can use to start blogging.
2. Start a Youtube Channel
YouTube is a multi-BILLION dollar industry. You may be shocked to learn that some YouTubers are earning more than teachers, doctors and other lucrative professionals. If you’re looking for a side hustles to help you produce a income that can eventually become residual, YouTube is a great one to try. Once you start posting videos and begin receiving a substantial amount of views, you will continue making money from PREVIOUS videos you’ve already uploaded as long as people are still watching them. After you’ve established your channel and you built an engaging audience, you may start to receive brand deals from companies to advertise their products/services on your channel. BOOM another stream of income!
3. Online Boutique
Online boutiques are slowly but surely beginning to replace the stand alone department stores that were once all we knew. Everyone LOVES online shopping. Its easy, stressful free, and a fun pass time. No lines, no small talk or conversations, just you, your mouse and your debit card! Jumping into this business is a GREAT way to make an extra income. Figure out what you’d like to sell and what exactly people are shopping online for the most these days, search for vendors that carry your products and go from there!
4. Sell on Poshmark
Do you have clothes that you don’t wear anymore but can’t part with because they costed you a pretty penny? Sell them on POSHMARK! Poshmark is great to get rid of clothes, shoes, accessories and more! Poshmark takes a small fee from your profits and you get to keep all of the rest! 5. Sell on Mercari
Mercari is another amazing app to sell things that you don’t need or use anymore. However, on Mercari you can list cosmetics that you may have gotten for a gift but didn’t want to keep. You can also list electronics, such as phones, game systems, and cameras.
6. Sell on Etsy
Do you have a creative edge? Are you savvy when it comes to arts and crafts? If you have anything special that you’re great at making such as hats, scarves, aprons, or jewelry Etsy is HANDS DOWN the best place to market your pieces. Etsy is a platform similar to Poshmark and Mercari, for creative individuals to sell their unique creations to people who are interested. Think of it as a classy, organized online flea market!
7. Sell Baked Goods/ Cater
If you’re a great cook and friends and family are always bragging on your dishes, it wouldn’t be a crazy idea to consider starting a small catering company. You could start with simple baked goods, such as pies, brownies or cakes, for special occasions. Once you’re comfortable you can branch out into providing main courses and side dishes! You can start by posting the dishes you’d typically make for yourself or for your family on social media.
8. Freelance- Web Deisgn, Makeup, Photography etc.
Freelancing is one of #1 side hustles of most people today. From freelance makeup artists to hair stylists to website graphic designers, there are so many freelance jobs out there. Choose one that you are already skilled in and offer services in that field! You will basically be your own businesswoman! You set your own schedules, your own hours, and your own WAGES.
9. Write an E-Book or Masterclass
If you have anything that you are good at or skilled in that you think other people would benefit from you sharing, write an E-Book or teach a Masterclass online! There are so many skills that people are looking to learn and many people don’t have the time to venture out to search for an actual sit-down class to teach them the new skills that they are interested in. An E-Book or Masterclass gives people the convenience to learn new skills and information on their own time and also in the comfort of their own home!
